Barnesville to receive $483,000 in grant funds (The Times Leader) BARNESVILLE - The Village of Barnesville will receive about $483,000 in additional grant funding. The amount will make a significant impact on the village's cost for the EPA-mandated sludge improvement project, which totals $3 million. Village Administrator Roger Deal said the Ohio EPA contacted him last week about the extra funds that were to be redistributed. The $482,924.

Rescued woman prayed, thankful (The Times Leader) PRAYER and action helped an 82-year-old Morristown woman, whose van was partially submerged in an icy pond for about 17 hours. "I just thought, dear God, don't let me die here," said Margaret Wiseman, who was rescued from the van Saturday about 1:30 p.m. Her van had gone into the pond in the Lady Bend Hill area near Morristown Friday about 8:30 p.m.

She won't be with the athletes on the ice but Nicole Detling Miller of Barnesville will be in their heads. For the last two years, Detling Miller has served as the sports psychologist for the U.S. speed skating team.
